Ahhh, nice. Why go home? I mean it too :o)

I run about 200W worth of panels, no way near as a nice of setup. It's 200W on 4 6V Golf Cart batteries wired in a series parallel. That gives me 12V on 4 LARGE batts. All hooked up to a desulphation charge controller. I have a 1250 Watt inverter (Peaks 3000) and is true sine.

My ENTIRE setup was about $850 - $900. It can run EVERYTHING except for major appliances (dryer mainly). Going to get a better windmill soon.

Crasster's right John... Just stay there, close the shop, dump the place in the city, and get the rental truck. You will be safer, and your beagle will thank you!!!

Verrrry nice! Outback makes some real nice stuff and is very adjustable. What is the total wattage of your array? What kind of batteries are you using?

for wind check out the BERGEY XL1 or the WHISPER 100/200 windmills... for the water people try a ES&D Stream Engine (microhydropower (dot)com, or a Harris Hydro built by Denis Ledbetter

Great system. Thanks for sharing. ...Just a suggestion, but with all the trees around the solar panels, have you thought about some steel bars or some other form of protection from falling branches or trees?
Again, awesome system!!!

It was providence that the first solar system got fried, wasn't it? God was looking out for you. Look what you have now! : ) I love your cabin -- for some reason, I really like that your entrance / porch is second story. Was it a kit? Did you build it yourself? I am looking forward to when ALL your broadcasts will be from the cabin. Can't be soon enough, Ahem. (Thanks for the porch shot -- great place to store wood under that elevated porch I think!)

I was thinking the same thing! One big wind storm and oh-oh. Wonder if rebar arched over it in a grid fashion would work well enough for protection, but still let the light through??

Grounding...YES! Did you include lightning suppression? Ask me about that if you aren't sure. Was it my video that turned you on to this? Its a great system you got there John! It should serve you VERY well! Maybe you could send me your build specs?
